We are honoured to present the following new members.

AnnRita Njiru – Chief Operating Officer

AnnRitahas over 13 years working experience in higher education, SME/Startup strategy development, project management, and impact investment. She is passionate about catalyzing enterprise growth and has worked with accelerators and incubators to increase business capacity and better position growing businesses in various markets including successfully spearheading the inaugural Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC).
AnnRitaholds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (1st class honors) with a double major in accounting and marketing and a Master of Commerce in Sustainability reporting, both from Strathmore University, Kenya. She is an alumni of both the Leadership for Excellence and Africa’s development program (LEAD) from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, USA.

Michael Currie – Data Scientist

Michael is a PhD researcher at the School of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Glasgow, focusing on Environmental Statistics. He is has a keen interest in analysing and modelling data to influence decision making.

Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf and football, and going for walks with his dog.


Claire Wangari – Account Manager

As an account manager, Claire’s role involves driving expansion of Growd’s accounts by leveraging existing relationships and forging new ones. Claire enjoys using research to gain insight into customer challenges, identifying key stakeholders, and challenge customers’ thinking about education. As a key part of Growd’s go-to-market strategy, Claire works on innovating around strategic sales cycles with both customer and providers/instructors.

Besides work, Claire enjoys photography and spending time in nature.
